Remembering Jason Spitz

Jason Spitz signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the offseason. I think it is time for us to remember Jason Spitz with a poem.

Just a normal morning

outside is raining

You are not here

my heart is not here

dreamed in your image

thought you ever back

lost you, lost world

Love you Jason Spitz, have fun in Jacksonville with all the pretty ladies.

Mason Crosby versus Jason Spitz: Who's hotter?

Gosh it's been awhile since I've done one of these "Who's hotter?" polls. Sorry, Packers fans. I know you've been waiting in anticipation.

Well, without further ado, I have a battle of the "-asons". You get one vote to let me know your decision.

Who is hotter: Mason or Jason?

Jason Spitz

Jason Spitz is a well rounded offensive guard for the Green Bay Packers. Spitz has been playing for the Packers since he was drafted in the 2006 NFL Draft right off his University of Louisville football team. With Louisville Jason earned first-team All-Big East and started every game during his four year career, which gained him huge recognition from the NFL community. As a Packers football player, Jason Spitz is one of the most consistent and versatile players on the offense. Besides a few injuries, Spitz is going strong in Green Bay and is ready to bring all he’s got this next season. When he isn’t playing football or golfing as a hobby, Jason Spitz is heavily involved in the community. From building a new playground for an elementary school to ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the Red Kettle campaign, Spitz tries to give back as much as he can.

Jason Spitz-- A Stand-up Guy

Green Bay Packers fans know Jason Spitz as an integral part of an offensive line that allowed Aaron Rodgers to do surprisingly well in 2008. But what the Green Bay Packers roster doesn't show is how involved Jason Spitz is when he leaves Lambeau Field. Throughout his life, he has been noted for many efforts at community service. For instance, he helps with the March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Family Services, Families of Children with Cancer, the Salvation Army, Edgar Bennett’s Celebrity Bowl-A-Thon, the Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game, the Al Harris Stars and Strikes Celebrity Bowling Event, and more.

Though I may focus on the gossip and looks of my favorite NFL team, it's also important to acknowledge how much Green Bay Packers like Jason Spitz really are altruistic and involved and don't let their pro-football fame go to their heads.

Ok. That's over. Look for more back-to-the-dirt posts coming soon!
