Thank Goodness the Packers Re-Signed John Kuhn

But in case they hadn't resigned him, I'm going to write a potential letter to Mike McCarthy that I would have written had the Packers not decided to resign him.

Dear Musty Mike McCarthy,

You have gone too far Mike. You have gone much too far. Sure, you can get rid of Daryn Colledge and Donald Lee but you really took it too far this time. John Kuhn is the heart and soul of this fricken team and if you hadn't resigned him I would have started the fire Mike McCarthy chant at Lambeau. Kuhn is everything I hope and pray for in a NFL player. He's selfless, tough, and plays hard on every single play. Getting rid of him means you are getting rid of everything you stand for. You just lost a fan, a very, very depressed fan.

Daryn Colledge Signs with Cardinals

Daryn Colledge, we will miss you. Daryn Colledge signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals which means this is likely the last time we will ever write about you, Daryn. For my last post about Daryn, I'm going to say whether I like long hair or short hair Daryn better.

Here's a picture of short hair Daryn. I don't like this picture that much because it brings a little too much attention to Daryn's forehead. Don't get me wrong, he's very sexy, but his forehead isn't my favorite.

I think I'm in love. Look at the flowing locks of beauty here. He looks like jesus wearing a Packer jersey. Does anyone else notice that the fur on his face really brings out his eyes too? His hair is so cool it looks like Captain John Smith from Pocahants.

Daryn Colledge's Dogs

Daryn Colledge is a 6'4", 308 pound, 28 year old Green Bay Packers guard. He plays fierce in every game and has a huge cheering section at Lambeau Field.

Something else that is interesting about Daryn Colledge is that he and his wife, Megan, own two energetic boxers named Dash and Duke.

This is not Dash and Duke, but a picture of two boxers just so you can get the visual down.

Boxers were developed heavily by German breeders in order to refine their hunting skills. They were bred to handle prey with care, making them favorites of hunters and cattle ranchers alike. They can be known to be quite rambunctious and hyper, though, so plenty of exercise is a must. As a trade-off, you'll enjoy good protection services from a boxer because they are like canine alarms who frequently bark and alert owners to intruders.
And I'm sure Dash and Duke love football, too, just like Daryn.

Daryn Colledge

Daryn Colledge has had an interesting football career, making his way from his North Pole High in Alaska to Boise State and now to Green Bay to play with the Packers. Colledge is an outstanding athlete, who had also found major success in baseball and track.

With Boise State, Colledge helped his team rack up a four-year overall record of 45-7 and a 31-1 conference record. With Daryn Colledge’s help, Boise State made their mark on four straight WAC championships. With the Packers football team, Colledge has found his niche. Colledge has been with the Green Bay Packers for four seasons now, starting 44 of his 48 games over the first three seasons as left guard. So far, Daryn holds fifth place for the least amount of sacks in the NFL. The Packers have been very fond of Colledge on their team and hope to keep him for years to come.

When not playing football, Colledge is heavily committed to his community service and hopes to eventually land a career in television after his football career ends. Daryn has also hosts “The Colledge Experience” on packers.com, where he interviewed his fellow Packers teammates.

Alaksan born and bred. No, not Sarah Palin! I'm talking about Daryn Colledge!

Daryn Colledge has showed us his tats on this blog before. But another interesting feature about this Green Bay Packers player is his hometown. He hails from a small town near Fairbanks, Alaska where his parents live today.

In high school at North Pole High (GREAT name for an Alaskan city and school!) Daryn Colledge was a natural football star. And--get this--he grew up on South Santa Claus Lane in North Pole, Alaska. North Pol sits about 14 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska and the little town has a popluation of just 1,600 people. Better yet, its light poles are candy cane-themed! So charming!

Plus, Daryn College is only the EIGHTH Alaskan to ever be drafted in the NFL and he is the highest ranked Alaskan pro player. No wonder why he's smiling!

Today Daryn Colledge makes his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin because of the convenience to Lambeau Field and Green Bay Packers training and games. But you can bet where he spends his Christmas breaks...up in the charming city of North Pole!

Daryn Colledge's Tats

I've seen some sweet tats in my day. Though I don't have one, I'm intrigued by those that get inked. And Green Bay Packers offensive guard Daryn Colledge has his fair share of detailed tattoos up and down both arms. Here's a look at the right one.

Yeah, I see Abe Lincoln on the tricep, too. I wonder what the story is behind that one. I give him points for geometric variety. We've got diamonds, diagonals, swirls, straight lines, and lots of interesting patterns. I wonder what his wife, Megan, thinks about all those pictures. I also wonder if he has any Green Bay Packers tats in the mix. He should! He has a bright future with the team and is a secure member of the Packers roster.

Maybe he should get a mock-up of Lambeau Field across his back. Why not?! If he gave me free Green Bay Packers tickets, I might be willing to get a #73 tattooed across my bicep.
