Al Harris' Vanity

No, I'm not talking about Al Harris as an egomaniac or narcissist. Though he probably isn't suffering from low self-esteem, Al Harris' Vanity refers to his very own barbershop and salon!

Vanity was opened in 2006 with the help of Al Harris, his brother, and fellow NFL-er Zack Crockett. The salon is located in Pompano Beach, Florida, just 12 miles from Al Harris' residence of Coral Springs.

I wonder if Al Harris ever makes a guest barber appearance at the salon? Would you let "3irty 1" give you a haircut or goatee trim?

Al Harris is ready to go this season

Al Harris is a Florida native who has made his way on to the Green Bay Packers as the starting cornerback. Harris is known for his hard-hitting style of play on the field. Nicknamed the “Dirty-One” by his opponents, you should expect a great show from Al Harris every time.

After leading his Trinity Valley Community College football team to the 1994 national championships, Al Harris transferred to Texas A&M University-Kingsville where he was the starting cornerback. With Texas A&M, Al Harris made first-team All-Lone Star Conference pick in 1996.

Upon graduation from Texas A&M, Al Harris was swooped up by the Philadelphia Eagles. As an immediate player for the Eagles, Harris was given his chance to shine in the NFL when he debuted against the Seattle Seahawks a week into his career.

Harris would be with the Philly Eagles until 2002, when he would be traded to the Green Bay Packers. With the Packers, Al Harris has shown to be a real spit fire and continues to go strong. Although his last season with the Packers was cut short with an ACL injury, Al Harris is ready to get back on the field and show the NFL that he’s still got it.

Al Harris, Yolan, and Cruise

Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris loves English bulldogs. Really. His beloved English bulldogs, Yolan and Cruise, live a pampered life under Al's watch.

I wonder what it is about these dogs that Al Harris loves so much? Is it their stocky build? Their sweet nature? Did Shyla, his wife, insist upon a purchase of these household pets? Did his kids, Al Jr. and Gavin, insist?

That least me to wonder if Al Harris is a big pushover with his kids and wife or if he stands his ground. I can imagine he could really holler in the style of Fred Flintstone's "Wilmaaaa!".

I have a feeling Al Harris gets all his aggression out with the Green Bay Packers during training and games and is a nice dude in person. He's a bit more elusive, living down in Florida most of the year--far from Lambeau Field, and might prove a little harder to get a good celebrity sighting chance.
