Mason Crosby

Mason Crosby is a placekicker for the Green Bay Packers who has made great strides in his first two years on the team. Crosby has posted more points than any NFL player in history during their first two seasons on a team, and continues to improve. Although Mason Crosby was drafted in 2007, he has already been named to the All-Decade team for the first nine years of the 2000s by The Sporting News. This feat makes Crosby the best collegiate kicker of the decade.

As a University of Colorado football player, Mason Crosby was considered the best kicker and named one of the Top 5 Seniors by position in 2006. Crosby was also selected as a First Team All-American for the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. Mason was Colorado’s all-time leading scorer by over fifty points, which made him the first Big 12 Conference player in history to be named player of the week eight times.

Mason Crosby was the 19th pick of the sixth round in the 2007 NFL Draft, where he was plucked by the Green Bay Packers. Crosby blew away the Packers in his first pre-season game when he kicked a 52-yard field goal. This was the longest field goal in the history of Heinz Field so he definitely made an impression. Crosby has been going strong with Green Bay ever since, and was even voted the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week finishing the season with the highest-scoring in kicker franchise history.

Atari Bigby

Atari Bigby was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Before Bigby signed on as a safety for the Green Bay Packers, he played for the University of Central Florida, as a member of the New York Jets and as an undrafted free agent for the Miami Dolphins in 2005. Atari has played at every position on the field during his years as a high school football player, where he had the privilege of playing with future NFLers as well. Bigby was an all star player across the board, earning second-team Class 6A all-state honors and the opportunity to play in the Dade-Broward All-Star Game.

Bigby signed on with the Miami Dolphins in the 2005 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent before being traded to the New York Jets. The Jets signed Atari Bigby on August 11, 2005 only to be waived in the final cuts a month later. The Green Bay Packers snatched up Bigby a few months later, and promoted him almost immediately to the active roster. Atari Bigby finally made his NFL debut on Christmas Day against the Chicago Bears.

At the end of the 2006 preseason, Atari was waived by Green Bay only to sign two days later to their practice squad. Once again, Bigby was signed to the active roster after a ten week period. Atari Bigby finally proved himself worthy during the 2007 training camp and preseason, replacing the strong safety at the time. Atari Bigby has been going strong with the Packers ever since and was offered over $1.5 million to return to Green Bay for the next season. In three days we’ll see if Atari Bigby decides to take the offer or signs on with another team.

Patrick Williams

Patrick Williams is a Texas native with a deep adoration for football, which has carried him through college at Colorado and into the big leagues. Williams was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2009 as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers.

Before joining the Packer troops, Patrick Williams was a four-year letter winner at Colorado and appeared in 50 games during his college football career. Within those 50 games, Williams started 20 of them and was voted a team captain for his senior season in 2008. Patrick Williams graduated Colorado tied for eighth all-time in school history against a current Denver Broncos football player. Williams best season was his senior year, where he broke his career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns. Patrick was granted a medical redshirt during his first season at Colorado after breaking bones in both hands in the second game of the season.

After being signed to the Green Bay Packers in 2009, Patrick Williams was reverted to the injured reserve before being let go in August. The Packers re-signed Williams to their practice squad a month later and was promoted to the active roster in December.

Brett Swain

Brett Swain is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers and was drafted in the 7th round of the 2008 NFL Draft. As a San Diego State grad, Swain played four seasons for the San Diego Aztecs. During his senior year with the Aztecs, Brett Swain had his best season and earned second-team All—Mountain West Conference honors after starting all 12 games. That season, Swain had career highs with 58 catches, 973 yards and five touchdowns for San Diego State.

Swain signed with the Packers on July 23, 2008 before he was later cut and signed to the team’s practice squad. Brett spent the entire 2008 season on the practice squad where he made five catches for 28 yards and returned two punts for 10 yards in four preseason games as a rookie.

That first year with Green Bay, Brett Swain made several community outreach appearances and appeared at the annual City of Green Bay “Kids Day,” as well as volunteering at the NFL/United Way’s “Hometown Huddle” event that featured the opening of a new playground at a local elementary school. In the end of the season, the GB Packers decided to give Brett Swain another go, re-signing him to a future contract.

Chris Pizzotti

Chris Pizzotti is a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Before joining the good ol’ Cheese Heads, Pizzotti played college football at Harvard and was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2009. At Harvard, Chris Pizzotti was selected First-team All-Ivy League in 2007 and in 2008. Upon graduation, the Jets yanked Pizzotti around a bit by signing him as an undrafted free agent, waiving him in August, re-signing him and again waiving him one last time later that month.

Luckily for Chris Pizzotti, the Green Bay Packers saw how valuable he was and snatched him up. The Packers signed Pizzotti to the Green Bay Packers practice squad, since their former practice squad quarterback had signed to the St. Louis Rams active roster. Eventually, on January 11 of this year, Pizzotti was signed to the Packers’ reserve/future contract.

Pizzotti has been blessed with great athletic ability, which allowed him to leave his mark in the Ivy League record books. Football is in the Pizzotti bloodline and Chris is proud to share the All-American title with his grandfather who played at Notre Dame. Chris Pizzotti is pumped to be a part of the Green Bay Packers team and his family could not be more proud.
