Chris Pizzotti

Chris Pizzotti is a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Before joining the good ol’ Cheese Heads, Pizzotti played college football at Harvard and was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2009. At Harvard, Chris Pizzotti was selected First-team All-Ivy League in 2007 and in 2008. Upon graduation, the Jets yanked Pizzotti around a bit by signing him as an undrafted free agent, waiving him in August, re-signing him and again waiving him one last time later that month.

Luckily for Chris Pizzotti, the Green Bay Packers saw how valuable he was and snatched him up. The Packers signed Pizzotti to the Green Bay Packers practice squad, since their former practice squad quarterback had signed to the St. Louis Rams active roster. Eventually, on January 11 of this year, Pizzotti was signed to the Packers’ reserve/future contract.

Pizzotti has been blessed with great athletic ability, which allowed him to leave his mark in the Ivy League record books. Football is in the Pizzotti bloodline and Chris is proud to share the All-American title with his grandfather who played at Notre Dame. Chris Pizzotti is pumped to be a part of the Green Bay Packers team and his family could not be more proud.

Brown County Packers Fans

This is the 8th year that the Green Bay Packers have made 4,000 seats a game available for people who live in Brown County. Brown County residents have to sign up by March 1, 2010 to have a chance to get a seat for the Green Bay Packers 2010 football season. There is a computer generated system that chooses who gets 4 tickets for a single game. There are already 19,000 Brown County residents signed up for this drawing and I'm guessing many more will be signing up by March 1st. To be eligible for this drawing you have to be 18+ and obviously a resident of Brown County. I think the Green Bay Packers came up with a great idea and think that every eligible Brown County resident should take advantage of this! If you are a Brown County resident and have been part of this drawing before please let me know how your experience was.

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is from the beautiful state of California and has made his way to Wisconsin for the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback position. Rodgers was picked out of the thousands in the first found of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Packers. Aaron Rodgers came fresh off his California Golden Bears college football team, where he had set several school records, including lowest interception rate.

Anyone who knew Rodgers had no doubt in their minds that he would achieve greatness in the sport of football. Even as a high school student, Aaron Rodgers set single-game records of 6 touchdowns and 440 all-purpose yards, as well as 2,466 total yards in a single season.

After attending Butte Community College for a few years, Rodgers was recruited by California who gave him the immediate starting quarterback position on their Golden Bears football team. Aaron Rodgers let the Golden Bears to much success, including a nearly undefeated season in his junior year. The only game California lost was closely contested, but Rodgers was still able to set a school record for consecutive completed passes with 26.

In the 2005 Draft Pick, Aaron Rodgers was thought to be the No. 1 pick overall. When brought on by the Packers, Rodgers needed to wait a few years under the Brett Favre reign before given the chance at the starting quarterback position. In the 2008 Packers season, Rodgers was finally given his chance and has been battling to keep ever since.

Matt Flynn

Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, Matt Flynn, was drafted in the 2008 NFL Draft right out of LSU. Matt Flynn signed a four year rookie contract on July 23, which will go through 2011 season. He is currently listed as the Packers' second string quarterback, having won the competition for the back up role to Aaron Rodgers. Although he was seen as less talented due to his smaller size than a few of his competitors, Aaron Rodgers still won the second string position, which was seen as the most exciting battle in tryouts.

Matt Flynn making the Green Bay Packers’ football team made his family proud. Alvin, Matt Flynn’s father, had been the quarterback in the 1960s at Baylor and had high hopes for his five children to become professionals. In High School, Matt Flynn was one of the top-rated quarterbacks in the state of Texas and had the privilege to lead his team to the 5A playoffs and to a semifinal appearance in one of the toughest classifications in Texas despite playing his last four games with a broken foot.

Before joining the Green Bay Packers, Matt Flynn need to prove himself on the LSU football team where he played at quarterback and holder on placekicks. Matt Flynn saw much success over his four years, slowly making his way up the ranks on the team. Flynn was given the opportunity to quarterback for the LSU Tigers at the 2008 BCS National Championship Game where he threw a 22 yard touchdown pass to win the game. Matt Flynn was the starting quarterback his senior year and led the LSU Tigers to a #1 poll position. Matt Flynn is ready to show his fans and the Green Bay Packers why they drafted him in the first place.

Green Bay Packers Special Teams: Why Are They So Bad?

The Green Bay Packers Special Teams was ranked 32nd. This is the third time in five years that the Packer Special Teams has been ranked last in the league! I was not very happy after reading this news and was trying to figure out where the blame should be placed. Is it the punting by Jeremy Kapinos who tied for 32nd place in net average? Is it the Kicking by Mason Crosby who had his worst year in field-goal accuracy and only made 27 of 36 kicks? Was it because of the bad kick coverage and being ranked 31st in punt-return coverage? Was it because of the 32 penalties the Packers Special Teams received through out the season? Was it because first-year special teams coach Shawn Slocum didn’t do his job? Or, was a combination of all of these things? Whatever it is we have to fix it and fix it fast other wise we will never get the chance to go back to the Super Bowl! Let me know what you think about the Green Bay Packers Special Teams!

Is Aaron Kampman leaving the Packers?

There is a rumor going around that the Chicago Bears are trying to sign Aaron Kampman. Although Aaron Kampman injured his left knee last year and might not be ready to play until training camp the Chicago Bears are still very interested in him. Aaron Kampman is currently a un-restricted free agent. The Chicago Bears want Aaron Kampman to join their defensive line. Aaron Kampman has made 54 career sacks and would be much cheaper to sign then younger prospects. The Green Bay Packers are expected to make the two-time Pro Bowler an offer as well. I would be very sad if Aaron Kampman left the Green Bay Packers because he plays with so much heart and is a big part of the team. How would all of you feel if Aaron Kampman were to leave the Packers for the Bears?
