Evan Dietrich-Smith

Evan Dietrich-Smith is a phenomenal offensive lineman who was signed by the Green Bay Packers on May 1, 2009 as a non-drafted free agent.

Idaho State was sad to see Dietrich-Smith leave after his four years as an offensive lineman, whom had started 44 games over the seasons. This was an Idaho State school record for the most starts ever by an offense player. Evan Dietrich-Smith left Idaho State with a four-time honorable mention all-conference honors, MVP honors and the ISU Lifter of the Year Award under his belt. Evan also won the “Golden Helmet Award” while a Salinas High School football player.

The Idaho State Bengals may have lost a great player, but the Green Bay Packers definitely gained one. You can be sure to see the name Evan Dietrich-Smith a whole lot more this coming season. Go Packers!

Brett Goode a pleasant surprise

Brett Goode, a long snapper for the Green Bay Packers, is from the great state of Arkansas. Goode was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2007 by the Jackson Jaguars right after he graduated from the University of Arkansas. With Arkansas, Brett Good was a four-year letter winner for the Razorbacks and appeared in 49 games over the seasons. Near the end of 2008, Goode was signed by Green Bay.

The Green Bay Packers are thrilled to have Brett Goode on there team, due to his reliability and consistent flawless performance. Goode was a last-minute replacement to JJ Jansen after the 2008 preseason and proved to be a pleasantly surprising player the entire season.

New recruit - Josh Bell

Have you heard of Josh Bell on the Green Bay Packers yet? Well you should. This California native, and Baylor graduate, has seen a lot in his two short years of football in the big league.

Josh Bell has been in the business of football since he was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Unlucky for him, he was released later that year in August. Only a month later, Bell was picked up by the Denver Broncos and was signed to their practice squad. After being promoted to the active roster in October, Bell’s football career was looking up until he was put on the injured reserve about a year into his rookie season.

Since Josh Bell was out on commission, the Denver Broncos decided to reach an injury settlement and release him. Josh Bell received his third lucky break in the NFL last November when he was signed by the Green Bay Packers. The Packers had just lost Al Harris to a season ending injury, giving room for Josh Bell to jump on the Green Bay bandwagon.

Where will Josh Bell go next? Follow Josh Bell and the Green Bay Packers this season as they battle it out to prove they are indeed the best of the best.
