My Prediction for James Starks

Yes, Packer fans, Ryan Grant is returning from his foot injury after missing all of last season. That doesn't mean James Starks won't play a key role on this team next season. I think after a full year under his belt, James Starks will be even better than before. I think James Starks will take over the full time running back job and even make the Pro Bowl. He really had the look of a special player last season and here's how I see him doing.

Twenty-five is his number

The green and gold just look so good on him.
Grant is looking lovely on Lambeau Field.

Ryan Grant the Eastcoaster

Ryan Grant was born in Nyack, New York and grew up in New Jersey. Today we all know New Jersey as "The State Which an MTV Show has Forever Tarnished" courtesy of this crew:

But back when Jersey Shore was nonexistent (can you remember those glorious days?), Ryan Grant was actually the face of Jersey! USA Today honored him as the 2000 Jersey Player of the Year: a huge honor for this talented three sport athlete who competed in football, basketball, and track. Here he is as a serious-looking youngster.


Ryan Grant still lives in New Jersey during the off-season. He lives in Edgewater, a borough of roughly 9,500. Wonder what he thinks of Snooki?

As a high school student in small town New York, no one could have imagined that one day Ryan Grant would be the running back for the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin. However, everyone who knew Grant was well aware of his outstanding ability on the football field.

After earning the New Jersey Player of the Year and leading his team to the high school championship game, Ryan Grant decided to continue playing at the University of Notre Dame. With the Fighting Irish, Ryan Grant was able to showcase and develop his football abilities. Throughout his time at Notre Dame, Ryan Grant proved he had what it took and was named team captain as a senior.

Upon graduation, Ryan Grant was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent and spent the 2005 season on the practice squad. In 2007, Grant was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he played his first year as the third-string running back. When finally given the chance to prove himself, Ryan Grant set franchise records in rushing yards and touchdowns. This was heavily praised, since it brought the Packers to the NFC Championship Game.

Grant’s success has been going strong ever since, so don’t miss out on a Green Bay Packers game this season because you won’t be disappointed.

Fashion dilemma! Which Ryan Grant jersey should I purchase for the next Green Bay Packers game? I'm partial to white, but I can already anticipate stains showing up easier on a white jersey than green.

And since we're on jersey colors, which one do the Green Bay Packers look hotter in? Again, my vote is for white but I'd love to hear your opinions! Leave me a comment!

Smile, Ryan Grant! Or Don't...

What's the deal with pro athletes lacking the ability to smile? After making an amazing dive catch in the outfield, a player will come up with the ball held triumphantly and lips forcibly pulled into either a scowl or neutral face. After a touchdown, a wide receiver might cross himself, spike the ball (gently), or even moon the crowd, but a smile? Forget it.

Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant may be one of the best examples of this I-can't-smile-because-I'm-too-tough mentality. Here he is looking tough on a night out on the town.

I don't think he has to go around grinning all the time and he probably wants a stern game face during games, but a smile always softens a face and shows some approachability after the game.
