AJ Hawks' Style

AJ Hawk works out a lot. And this guy has plenty of athletic gear to get him through even the most grueling training session. He also needs to dress it up from time to time and keeps a few suits on hand to keep things fresh. Here are a few of his get-ups from past events just so you can get a good sense of his style.

Here we have the Hawk-meister in a red and white shirt. Looks like it's made of a sweat-whisking fabric like Coolmaster or Fieldsensor. I'm digging the red elbow bands. Good color co-ordination continues through the use of a white, backwards baseball cap. Hot stuff.

I'm seeing the backward cap trend continuing here. This photo was taken in AJ Hawk's bedroom so he apparently dressed down for the event. Flannel shirts are coming back in style in a major way, so he's ahead of the curve here...or retro...since this picture was taken a few years back.

Last but not least is AJ Hawk dressed up. I really like the silk detail on his coat and the equally silky red tie. Very sharp and classic.

So there you have it. The many sides of AJ Hawk. I think he looks more comfortable dressed down, especially with that long hair and a backwards baseball cap!

Well, the mother-in-law jokes are never in short supply on any given jokes website. Neither are horror stories of in-laws intruding on personal events, getting into huge fights, and not speaking for years. With all these in-law stories and jokes floating around, it got me wondering how AJ Hawk gets along with his wife's family.

Laura Quinn, for those of you who aren't aware, is sister to Brady Quinn, aka Notre Dame turned Denver Broncos quarterback. Laura, Brady, and younger sister Kelly are the three children of Ty and Robin Quinn of Ohio. Robin and Ty had a reputation of being sports-minded, no-nonsense parents and it clearly served their children well. Brady is a successful pro athlete, Kelly played college level soccer and Laura competed in lacrosse.

I have a feeling those awful in-law situations just don't hold true for AJ Hawk. This family seems practical and sports-minded like Hawk himself and that certainly is a good situation for them all to be in.

AJ Hawk's hyperbaric oxygen chamber

The first time I read about AJ Hawk's hyperbaric oxygen chamber, I thought it sounded like a torture device. AJ Hawk put this....thing....in his Green Bay bedroom because the machine is intended to simulate high altitude. As a result, it usually increases a person's red blood cells and is supposed to prolong endurance.

Can you imagine sleeping in this inflatable casket night after night? Especially when you're this size?


Rumors have it that recently AJ Hawk extended the hyperbaric chamber into an entire bedroom. I wonder if his wife consented to this little renovation project?

Hiddy-Ho, A.J. Hawk!

The world feels smaller and smaller. Case in point: A.J. Hawk of the Green Bay Packers married the cousin of Zachery Ty Bryan, aka BRAD from HOME IMPROVEMENT! If you're like me, you remember Brad being the oldest boy of Tim and Jill Taylor on the 90s sitcom. He was the one with the most sass and frequently picked on his younger brothers. Brad also experimented with his hair frequently. Is that where A.J. Hawk gets it, too?

This got me thinking more about AJ Hawk and his Zachery Ty Bryan connections.

The possibilities are endless with a Home Improvement-Lambeau Field connection. The Packers roster is full of characters who would fit these roles well, and of course AJ Hawk has to be the team's Brad equivalent. I mean, they're related. Sort of.

Do you know where the weight room is, A.J. Hawk?

Back in high school, the running joke was for a stick skinny cross country runner to shrug up his shoulders, puff out his bony chest, and flex arms that were the circumference of a garden hose. "Hey," he'd say, sauntering up to some big wrestler or football playing dude. "Do you know where the weight room is?"

Of course this classic line comes from the equally classic Tommy Boy movie magic. It became a staple in high schools across America in the 90s and from the sounds of it, people keep the phrase alive today.

Though the question doesn't really require an answer, I hope A.J. Hawk is confident of the weight room's location: in his house.

That's right. Green Bay Packers player A.J. Hawk keeps all his equipment in a state of the art weight room at his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I can imagine how often he must use the weights. He's a fairly solid guy at 6'1" and 248 pounds of muscle.

Next time you head down to Lambeau Field for a home Green Bay Packers game, find A.J. Hawk and ask him where the weight room is. I'm sure he'd love it. Plus, call me crazy, but couldn't A.J. Hawk pass as Tommy Boy star Chris Farley's cousin? Maybe even brother? You make the call.

Aaron James Hawk – known to all of us Packer Backers as A.J. Hawk is one of those Packer players that desperately need a hair cut. Although I am sure that A.J. believes his power comes from those dirty blonde locks, I think they are a huge turn-off. Then again, I bet A.J. doesn’t care what I think since he is married to Laura Quinn, the beautiful sister of quarterback Brady Quinn PLUS AJ Hawk has his own web site so I doubt he spends much time surfing around the web trying to find out which Packer blogger thinks he needs a haircut or not.

MY SUPER HOT IDEA: Since AJ Hawk is the Special Olympics Wisconsin spokesman I think he should do a fundraising campaign to shave his head!
